Product purpose

Source: NOVA Search product page. Information discovery with sources and context close to the answer.

The boundary

Know the scope before you rely on it.

The keyword search on this corporate website is separate from NOVA Search. Neither it nor Ask NOVA demonstrates access to the product. Coverage, freshness, and accuracy depend on the sources and environment.

Product direction

Understand the experience.

The intended experience connects discovery with inspection. A person should be able to find relevant information, understand where it came from and examine differing evidence before relying on a conclusion.

Search is not simply a list of links with a confidence label. Its direction emphasizes the relationship between an answer and the material supporting it. Source identity, context and freshness matter; multiple copies of the same information are not independent confirmation.

The retained direction includes a standalone product. Permissioned retrieval for other NOVA experiences can add value, but it does not automatically replace that standalone role or establish live integrations.

The corporate website’s keyword search and Ask NOVA are separate experiences. Neither demonstrates access to the Search product. Coverage, freshness, accuracy and current supported comparison scope depend on the sources and environment and require specific product information.

Questions

Useful things to ask.

What is NOVA Search?

NOVA Search is an information-discovery product designed to keep sources and context close to the answer. It helps people find relevant information, inspect what supports it and compare differences rather than hide disagreement.

Is it the search box on this website?

No. The website’s keyword search locates corporate website content. Ask NOVA explains approved public NOVA information. NOVA Search is a separate product with its own scope and access requirements.

Does a citation mean an answer is definitely true?

A citation gives you a path to the supporting material; it is not a guarantee. The important questions are whether the source actually supports the statement, whether the context and timing match, and whether other evidence disagrees.

Can it compare conflicting sources?

Comparison is part of NOVA Search’s product direction. The aim is to make differences inspectable rather than blend them into false agreement. Current supported comparison scope and access need confirmation from NOVA.

Can it search my private files?

The public information here does not establish a supported private-file connection. Any such access would need a specifically supported environment and your appropriate authorization; it cannot be inferred from the NOVA Search name.

Is it only for other NOVA products?

The retained product direction includes standalone information discovery. Permissioned retrieval for other NOVA products can be an additional role, not a reason to assume the standalone product has been cancelled.
